About Private Albums
How to Access Private Albums?
By default, private albums are not displayed in the album list on the homepage. To access a private album, follow these steps:
- Shake your device on the homepage to bring up the password entry dialog.
- Enter the password, and you will be redirected to the corresponding private album.
If multiple private albums share the same password, all albums corresponding to that password will be displayed in a list.

How Does the Private Album Protect Privacy?
- Private albums are not shown in the album list by default and can only be accessed using a password.
- When viewing a private album, if the app is sent to the background (e.g., pressing the Home button or switching apps), the app will reopen to the homepage rather than the last-viewed private album.
- When sent to the background, the app applies a frosted preview effect to prevent sensitive content from being exposed.
How to Display All Private Albums?
If entering a password every time feels inconvenient, you can display all private albums in the homepage list.
Steps:
- Navigate to "My" -> Tap the "Origin Album Icon" 5 times to open the Privacy Settings page.
- Enable the "Show All Private Albums" option.
After returning to the homepage, all private albums will appear in the album list, marked with a closed-eye icon.

How to Hide All Private Albums?
If all private albums are displayed on the homepage, here’s how to hide them again:
- Go to the Privacy Settings page and disable the "Show All Private Albums" option. This will remove all private albums from the homepage.
- Alternatively, press the Home button to send the app to the background or kill the app process. The next time you open the app, private albums will no longer be displayed on the homepage.
Example 2: Returning from the background, private albums are no longer visible on the homepage.
How to View the Passwords for Private Albums?
If you have many private albums and forget their passwords over time, you can check all passwords:
- Open the Privacy Settings page.
- Tap "Show All Passwords" to view them.
How to Access the "Privacy Settings" Page?
The Privacy Settings page can be accessed from the "My" section by tapping the Origin Album icon. By default, tapping the icon 5 times will take you there.
You can adjust the required number of taps, e.g., changing it to 10. Next time, you’ll need to tap the icon 10 times to access Privacy Settings.
Additionally, you can add gesture lock protection to the Privacy Settings. For example:
- First, tap the icon 10 times.
- Then, a gesture lock screen will appear.
- Upon successful gesture unlock, you’ll enter the Privacy Settings.
What if I forget the gesture unlock password?
No worries! By default, after 10 failed attempts, the system will prompt TouchID or FaceID verification. Use your fingerprint or facial recognition to unlock.
This 10-attempt limit can also be customized. For instance, you can increase it to 20 attempts, meaning TouchID or FaceID will only be triggered after 20 failed attempts.
